The small and exclusive city of Brentwood is nestled between Ladue, Richmond Heights, Maplewood, Webster Groves and Kirkwood. With easy access to Metrolink, interstate highways 64 and 170; downtown St Louis and Lambert International Airport are less than 30 minutes away.
Brentwood's school district operates two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. One of the elementary schools, Mark Twain, received the Missouri Gold Star and is a current Missouri School of Character. The high school is a multi-time recipient of the Blue Ribbon Award, a top award for schools in Missouri. Private and parochial schools are also available as is the Fontbonne University and Missouri College.
Proud of its place in history, The Brentwood Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer group dedicated to collecting, preserving and presenting the history of Brentwood. The historical collection is in the form of photos, newspaper articles, and yearbooks, in addition to personal and official records. Upon request the society provides speakers to clubs, service groups and churches.
Brentwood maintains eight parks with a variety of facilities for the public to enjoy at no cost or with a minimal fee. Brentwood Recreation Complex and Ice Arena provides meeting space, programs and year round skating opportunities.
Additionally, the City of Brentwood collaborates with the cities of Richmond Heights and Maplewood to offer all residents of the three cities access to more recreational opportunities. The three cities publish one activity guide twice a year advertising all programs offered at the communities' recreation facilities. Residents of these cities can utilize any of the facilities or programs at the resident rates.
Brentwood residents are served by the Brentwood School District for Pre-K through grade 12. Private schools are also available.
