Chesterfield is located just about 25 minutes west of downtown St. Louis, along the Interstate 64/U.S. Highway 40 corridor. The city was formed in 1988 and has peaceful residential neighborhoods, bustling shopping areas, aesthetically designed business establishments, and well laid out parks and pathways.  It is an attractive place to live and some of the St. Louis area's finest single-family homes, apartments, and condominiums can be found gracing the area’s wooded landscapes.

Chesterfield is home to two top-rated public school districts.

Rockwood School District holds a "Distinction in Performance with High Achievement" from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and received a "Gold Medal" rating from Expansion Management Magazine. Enjoy a relaxing concert listening to the talented St. Louis Civic Orchestra at Logan College or learn about vintage automobiles such as Mercedes, Rolls Royce, Porsche and other luxury cars at the Kemp Auto Museum. Round out your cultural experience by visiting the Gallery at Chesterfield Arts or taking a class there.

Keeping fit is easy with numerous walking trails, including the Levee Trail that will soon encompass the entire Chesterfield Valley; or join the YMCA or the Jewish Community Center for the complete fitness experience.
