Damian Gerard Realty GroupThe City of Frontenac takes its name from Louis de Buade, Comte de Frontenac et de Palluau (the Count of Frontenac), a French courtier and Governor of New France from 1672 to 1682 and from 1689 until his death in 1698. The community name is inspired by Chateau Frontenac by Benjamin and Lora Wood who laid out the community's core called Frontenac Estates. The wealthy community still consists mostly of houses on acre lots and French architecture is encouraged in design. With excellent housing stock, easy accessibility to major thoroughfares and a very low crime rate, Frontenac remains an extremely desirable community in which to live.
Frontenac is just 2.8 square miles, and is proud to be the location of St Joseph's Academy, an all-girl Catholic high school, Chaminade College Prep, an all-boy middle and high school, and Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill School, a sacret Hear School for boys and girls grades JK-6 and yound women grades 7-12.
Plaza Frontenac is St Louis' signature landmark. It is a high end mall featuring many prominent retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Tiffany & Co, among many others. In all it has over 50 speciality stores, six restaurants and a six-theatre cinema.
